About Us

INTERHERENCE is a spin-off from the Max-Planck Institute for the Science of Light in Erlangen making high sensitivity microscopy available for everyone.

Interherence was founded in 2019 emerging the Nano-Optics division at the Max-Planck Institute for the Science of Light. We employ modern nanofabrication and thin film technologies which we combine  with high-end optical microscopy. This allows us to build systems ensuring well-controlled and reliable measurement conditions for biophysical optical studies. Our first product VAHEAT was launched in March 2020 as an add-on to conventional microscopes enabling for the first time precise temperature control right in the field-of-view over an extended temperature range. Our goal is to bring reproducibility into microscopy and to allow everyone to perform high-sensitivity optical measurements even of complex systems.

We are an interdisciplinary team of experts in the field of quantum- and biophotonics revolutionizing high sensitivity light microscopy.

We are constantly looking for highly talented and motivated people to join our mission!
